    The Boycotted Field:- There is a field situated on St. Conlan's road beside the Mineral Water Factory. It was boycotted about 20 years ago and anyone who liked could trespass on it. After a couple of years it was restored to its former owner Mr. Ed. Gleeson, Sarsfield Street. In the Parish of Nenagh.
    The Stoney Field:- Where the castle is now situated was called the stoney field because of the stoney land that was around it.
    Pound Street. At the top of Cudville Road there is a shop owned by Miss Darcy and at the back of her shop there was a pound and Pound Street got its name from that.
