  1. Once a Nenagh man, named Patrick OLeary, went to England to get a position as a builder, and he succeeded. As the manager was showing him around he said to Paddy "is this not a great building, this was built in one month" and Paddy answered "that is nothing considering that one morning as I was going to work, I saw men laying the foundations stones for twenty houses, and as I was returning I saw the landlord turning out the people for not paying the rent."
