    Marriages most frequently take place during Shrove and during the Summer months, especially in June and sometimes on Shrove Tuesday. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday are unlucky days as may be seen from this little rhym:-
    "Monday for health
    Tuesday for wealth,
    Wednesday the best day of all.
    Thursday for losses.
    Friday for crosses
    And Saturday no day at all.
    There are not many customs connected with Shrove in this district
