    Some people have cures for certain diseases. Miss Anne Hynch of Drumavaddy has a cure for the Jaundice. A little boy named Francis Herron of Bridge Street who was born after his father's death has a cure for the sore mouth.
    Mr. McCabe of Ballinlough and Mrs. O'Reilly of Chapel Road have a cure for a sprained ankle.
    A sprain is generally cured by rubbing or massaging the affected part while saying the following prayer:
    "As Jesus went forth on His Ass,
    The ass's fore-leg slipped;
    As Jesus lit [note: = alighted] to cure the wound,
    He said, 'Bone by bone and knit by knit,
    I heal it' and Christ Jesus cured it."
