    Hidden Treasure.
Treasure was supposed to be hidden in Edward O Reillys Island in Cormeen. An attempt was made by John Murphy to unearth it. It was one summers morning before the sun had risen, John set out for the Island to dig for the gold. There was a cot for crossing the river. Now John got into the cot and pushed her out. When he was out in the river he heard shouts and then a strong wind arose so John could not get across to the Island. He tried several times but failed. After that a light was seen there.
