  2. James Smith lived in Killinkere. It was he made the famous poem "Jemmie from Grousehall" which is as follows.-
    "Jemmie from Grousehall"
    I am a roving hackler lad that loves the Shamrock shore.
    My name is Pat McDonald, and my age is eighty four.
    Being loved and well respected by friends and neighbours all,
    In sweet Stradone I am well known round Lough and Grousehall
