Ar an leathanach seo
- I Brian Kiernan: He was born in the townland of Crohan, Parish of Castleraghan (Munterconnaught), and Barony of Castleraghan. When a young man he emigrated from his native Crohan to America. His poem 'The Hills of Crohan' was written when at home on a short stay in his parish of Munterconnaught.
One verse of his poem is missing as it has passed from the memory of the natives it being some sixty years ago since it was written.

I
I was in Keady and Limavady,
Went to Killarney and saw the Blarney stone;
But in all my travels I saw none to equal
The old town of Crohan my native home,
'Tis there you will hear the lark and curlew,
The thrush and robin redbreast
And the cuckoo singing in the early morning
While the toiling farmer takes his rest
...
Once more this season I'll speak with reason
To my old neighbours and all of kin(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
