  1. Long long ago in the dim past it was known that there was gold hidden in the Brohan rocks.
    There was a giant at that time who was very rich and he hid a great deal of gold in a rock. In the rock was a very large hole, he put the gold into this hole and rolled an enormious stone in on it. On this he put a charm and if any man could move it with his arm strength he could take the gold, but if he blew it up with powder that the gold would vanish. He would have to move it before twelve o 'clock at night.
    There is a split between the two ricks and is to be seen to the present day.
    Similar stories are told of lone bushes, many men believe that there is gold hidden beneath the roots of lone bushes.
