  1. Long ago and now also the Catholics bought and sold articles to their advantage, but the Protestants never even made a bargain or exchanged a penny for they consider it desecrated the Sabbath.
    Some of the shopkeepers made it a practice to keep the back of their shops open before and after Mass on Sunday, but the present Government stopped them.
    Always amongst the poorer class of people good like, potatoes turnips mangolds, rushes and hay, are exchanged for work
