Ar an leathanach seo

  1. This district is full of herbs namely, chicken weed, docking, the nettle the dandelion, the thistle, preshar scutch, butter cups, mauruddles, the farmer's plague, Bishop'd caps, cheeves, fox glove, fairy fingers and hemlock.
    The chicken weed is used for food for farm animals in the Summer time.
    The dock weed is bruised and put on the sting of a nettle to ease the pain.
    The farmer hates the thistle because it destroys land.
    Preshar grows in oats, wheat and barley and in poataoes. It has green leaves and yellow flowers. Scutch is also hated by the farmers.
    It grows in potatoes and destroys them. It only grows in badly land.
    The nettle grows every place. It is a big plant with green leaves. It has long yellow roots. Its roots are first dug then washed and boiled. Then the water is drained off them and given to chickens to drink to cure measles.
    Dandalion is the cure of liver complaint. It is stept in cold water and people have to drink the water to get cured.
    Farmer's plague is hated by the farmer's because it spreads rapidly. Bishop's cap also spreads
