There is a well in Mathew Hourigan's field in Dungimmon Mt Nugent. It is a holy well. It is called St Bridgets well. It's waters can cure a vomiting. People who are getting the cure have to drink the water and take some of the mud in it.In Mrs Simson's field of Rathever, Oldcastle, Co Meath there is a well called St Patrick's well. There is the cure of warts, toothache, headache or any disease. You have to leave some valuable article there if you expect to get cured. In Hughie Tigh's field Ballymacad, Oldcastle, Co Meath there is a holy well called St Patrick's well. It is said that when protestants were trying to take St Patrick's Bell from the old chapel in Killeagh the bell rose the night before and flew in the air and fell in that field and where the track of the bell was there arose a spring and the waters of it cures vomiting.
