  1. A Mrs Kiernan of Ardleny died leaving a little baby girl about a year old.
Mr Kearnan married again when the baby was three years old.
It is the custom to give newly married people "A time."
One of these parties was given at a house about a mile away.
Kearnan's house was built in a bog with only paths running to the neighbouring houses.
The Bride put the step child to bed and when she was asleep she and her husband went to the "party."
About midnight a tap was heard at the door where the party was held.
When it was opened, there stood the little girl. Asked how she got there, she answered "Mama brought me."
As the door was locked people still believe it was her dead mama.
Children of this child are attending this school.
