- About sixty years ago, there was a man named Owens, who lived in Drumavaddy. One night he dreamt that there was a pot of gold at the foot of a big tree in Morgan's fort. The next night he dreamth the same so the third night when the people were all in bed he went over to the fort and dug a hole beside a tree. When he was a short time digging he found a pot of gold. He brought home the gold and he bought a farm of land at Gradam in a month.
The above is a true story. The owner of the land - James Morgan (died 1923[?]) was unaware of the find till long afterwards. He took no steps to recover the treasure. To this day the hole made in digging for the gold remains.
