- In olden times the people ate three meals a day. These were the breakfast, dinner and evening tea. The breakfast was eaten at at half-past seven, the dinner at two o clock, and the evening tea at seven.
Potatoes were eaten with milk for the breakfast, or sometimes souins and porage. Potatoes and milk for the dinner, Oaten bread and milk was taken for the tea at seven oclock.
In olden times people used to rise at five oclock and work until breakfast time. In those days people used wooden mugs instead of cups.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
