  1. Thos. McClean was a small farmer who lived with his wife in Drumbrucklis. There was a tradition in the family concerning a lone bush on the farm a few hundred yards from the house. Tomas's father and grandfather had dreamt that a crock of gold lay buried underneath the tree.
    On day a neighbour Ned Brady was ploughing with Thomas. During the day he was pestered with Thomas asking him to dig for the gold. Eventually he consented, but that night a storm came on which prevented operations.
    Some time afterwards another neighbour who was fond of a practical joke worked with Thos. McClean and consented to dig for the gold but said they should wait until after
