- An old custom is carried on in my locality. Some people pull flowers and decorate some trees at their doors. Others pull primroses and cover the doorstep with them.Others pull a rose bush and put flowers of all kinds on it. Others still put up a May altar and cover the Blessed Virgin statue with primroses.
- St Stephen's Day is most delightful feast of the year. All the young folk and grown ups both boys and girls in this district travel around on that day.They go in separate groups all trying to be first at the houses and in some cases the young folk hide on the older ones for fear they would(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
