High windows and low windows
Children catch hands and form a ring. One goes around the outside of the ring with a handkerchief and says the following rhyme:-
"I wrote a letter to my love,
And on the way I dropped it,
Someone came and picked it up
And put it in their pocket."
They run around touching each person with the handkerchief and saying:-
"It was not you,""It was not you," [e?]
When they come to the person they want, they leave the handkerchief on his or her shoulder and say:-
"It was you." That person runs after the other until he or she catches him or her. The other children help the chaser to catch the child with the handkerchief by raising
