The cure of Erysipelas is mostly performed by the sufferer. He brings a portion of unsalted butter to the person who has the cure, and she says prayers. The person brings home the butter, and places it in the Eave of the house, with one foot inside the door, and the other outside. The cure is done every morning for nine mornings by another person. While the cure is being done, there must be no one between you and the fire. The butter is rubbed on for eight mornings.
