  1. Either the 7th or 9th son has the cure for Lumbago. Mick Larney of Pullafree, Crosskeys, was such a person. When a man came to him to be cured, he placed him lying on his "mouth and nose" on the floor and then stepping on his back for several minutes. Then he would tell him to be off, that he was cured.
    Larney appeared to take the whole thing as a joke. If you went to him and said, "Here well, down with you", in coming to get down on the floor.
    He never charged for his cure.
