Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There is a fort in Innisbeg on Philip Fitzpatrick's farm. There is not much of it to be seen now, only the remainds of the ring. You could see two other forts from it, one on Peter Brady's land in Kilnaglare, and another on James Teevan's land in Kilnaglare also. My father told me, that not fifty years ago, a man called John McCarren who owned the fort then, put his workmen to level down the ditches of the fort. The man levelled them and when he was finished, John took pains and got crippled. My father remembers to see him crippled and he had to get a box-car made for himself, because he was not able even to get up on a trap. People believed that fairies lived in the fort, and that it was the fairies' curse that fell on John.
