    with two handles, and hand baskets which were like a big jar, and a lid on them. First of all willows were cut and gathered, and left to season then they were boiled well, and the peeling was taken off. A sally rod was made into a hoop, then it was tied at the ends. Slats or ribs were fastened to the hoop, by the fine rods which will make the basket. Then the willows were pleated through them, and then the basket was made. The latest maker of baskets was Mr Andrew Campbell, Killeshandra.
