  1. Thomas McGoldrick of Clohoge, Swanlinbar was the local poet.
    He composed a poem on the first Tenant Right meeting which was held in Cavan in 1869. This was the first verse and my informant had forgotten the remainder

    Michael Maguire of Roscaw Kinawley was a poet and he was also the last of the hedge schoolmasters. There was a police Sergeant in Kinawley who gave Michael much annoyance. On his departure
