  1. There is a church in Templeport which belongs to St. Mogue and is built on the edge of the lake. There is an island on the lake which is called St. Mogue's Island and it is a very old burial place.
    There is a grave yard all around the church and it is divided into halves.
    One half belongs to the church of Ireland and the other half belongs to the church of Rome. There are two chapels in Templeport which are Kilnavart, and Kildough and they belong to the church of Rome. There are a great many trees growing around the edge of the church yard and the church is oblong in shape.
