    People used to crawl under a donkey to get rid of the mumps. When we get stung with a nettle it is rubbed with a dock-leaf, and when we get stung with a bee or a wasp, blue is put on it. Some people have cures for a sprain, they have a spring and they tie it on the foot. Others believe that if grass which is taken off a friends grave is put on the sprain it will cure it.
    Spagnum moss is gathered and put on wounds, it is supposed to stop bleeding, and heal the wounds.
    When children have the whooping-cough, garlic is chopped up and put at their feet.
    Some people gather ivy leaves and put them to their corns, they are supposed to cure them. If soap is
