  1. The Robin is said to be of a historical family, and is known almost worldwide. Her feathers are of a dark brown, with light speckles shot amidst them. Her nest consists of moss, feathers, hair and twigs. It is usually to be found in any low down thorn or hedge.
    The Robin has her red breast since Our Lord died on the cross. When he was hanging on the cross dying, the Robin saw him and flew up to take the cruel thorns out of his Sacred forhead. As she did a few drops of blood got on her breast, and since that day the family of the Robin has had a red breast.
    One day as Our Lady was standing in the doorway of her home, a piece of straw blew into her eye. The Robin saw it and flew over to take it out and so it did. Then as
