There are three old graveyards not too far from Aughrim.
Two are in Macreddin- about 2 1/2 miles from the village.
The lower one is the nearer. It is in off the road from which a field divides it. this must be a very old one but there is no church.
In the upper graveyard stands the old church of the parish which was the one used until the new one was(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
