  1. There is a ruin of a house three stories high. It is on top of the hill opposite this school. The owner is Miss Kate Byrne Rockview Clash, Rathdrum Wicklow.
    Miss Byrne says she heard from her mothers people that it was a look out Station in the time of Fiach McHugh O'Byrne. It is called the Salt box from its shape.
    It has beautiful rooms in it. This lady used it as an outhouse for cattle. It has a fanlight over hall door in the shape of a spectacles.
