Ar an leathanach seo

forges. Wooden ploughs were never used in this district. The farmers help one another in sewing
the potatoes. Potatoes were used as starch long
ago but is not now.
- Homemade Toys
When my father was a little boy he
had very little toys except those he made himself.
He used to make whistles from reeds and birch-bark and catapults to throw stones with. He also used to make bows and arrows
from seasoned ash sticks and tops were made
from empty spools.
