One of the oldest tombs in Glendalough churchyard is father Rowans, he was a curate of Glendalough churchyard and when he died he was buried in the ruins of the priests house. Some time after his death, the people of Glendalough and Roundwood put up a monument in rememberance of him, it is in Glendalough churchyard.
In the churchyard in Glendalough there is an old cross and people say that Saint Kevins is supposed to be buried under it.
If families who have lived in Glendalough for some time and if they go away to some other part of the world, when they die they nearly always come back to Glendalough to get buried.- Bailitheoir
