The way I make a "pop gun". I get a thick lump of a stick and get a red hot iron and bore a hole through the stick. I get a thin piece of a stick then, and stuff a piece of wet paper in the hole and shove the thin stick quickly and the paper flies out.
The "jenny-spinner" is like a top. It get a spool and a good sharp knife. Pare both sides till you come to the middle. Then break off. Get a thin piece of a stick and put it down in the hole of the spool and point the top of the stick sharply. Then catch the stick in your fingers and spin round.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
