- Hume of Humewood, about the year 1870, was a landlord, and Samuel Fenton of Leitrim was his agent. He carried out a great amount of evictions, and one of the principal ones was a widow with a family of small children.He was visiting her every day looking for rent. At last, on a Saturday evening, he called for his last time, and told her to be ready to be evicted on Monday morning.
