Ar an leathanach seo

Every one both young and old knows some riddles and very often passes the time in asking them.
I will mention some of my local ones.
A Scotch man an English man and an Irish man went out one day, and they had only one umbrella, which of them got wet? (Neither of them because it was not raining).
Two Bishops were in a bed one wore a night dress and the other a pyjamas which wore the night dress? (Mrs Bishop).
What ball cannot hop? (A snow-ball).
What foot could you not put a boot on? (The foot of a mountain).
What is it that is all eyes and has no nose? (A thimble).
What is it that is white and black when it goes upstairs and it comes down red (read) all over? (A book).
What is it that goes up the chimney down and can't go down the chimney up? (An umbrella).
