The wild birds mostly common in our district are the blackbird, thrush, robin and the wren.
These birds which I have mentioned do not migrate but the swallows and cuckoo which are numerous' in the Summer go to warmer countries in the Winter.
The blackbird and thrush builds their nest's in tree tops. The robin in ditches and the wren in bushes, the swallow under eaves and the cuckoo which is a very lazy bird builds no nest but throws the little ones out of another bird's nest and lays her eggs in it and leaves them there for the owner of the nest to hatch.
The wren which is the king of all birds builds her nest of moss and hair
