  1. Hannon's Ploughman.
Got from Tos. Tallon (see Page 68) - on 28-2-36.
As told by Thos. Tallon -
"This Ballad was made by Jim Broughan of Knockatomcoyle about 35 years ago. He was a fiddler + was the most undervaluing man ever lived or died. He was always smiling + making the height of fun of you. He was born in Knockatomcoyle but he left + at the latter end of his days + got married + died in Dublin. He is dead about 26 years. His father was the best fiddler in Ireland. Biddy has his fiddle + 'tis a Perry. Old Broughan used to teach the fiddle. I never heard them playing."
    I
Come all you brave ploughmen, weree'er you may be
And pray pay attention for a moment to me
Concerning James Clery who lately was bound
For Guinness' brewery but was passed as unsound.
    II
Ronconciled to misfortune like any poor man.
He quickly came home and as ploughman began.
