  1. Mr Mahon of Ardnehue has a field called the Rath Field. It is called this, because the fairies are in it every night. There is a hill in Friarstown called Friarstown hill. It is called this because the holy Friars used to live there. There is a field there also called the Fox Cover. It is called this, because foxes are in it. At night people saw it on fire as they thought. Phosphorous is found there, and that is the reason, why people think they see fire.
