    Townland of Cumber, parish of Kinnitty,Co. Offaly.
    1. (or Finann or Finawn)
    2. It is in the townland of upper Cumber situated at the south side of Knockmaman. It is on the road going from Cumber House to the Burrow Bridge. Over it is growing an ash tree and a beech tree. There are a few stones each side of it.
    3. St. Finian is the Patron Saint of well.
    4. No former names of well known.
    5. No days of pilgrimage now. About one hundred years ago old people used to go to the well to pray. There is no one alive now that remembers that.
    6. The water is supposed to cure people that have coughs or stomach trouble.
    7. Three Hail Mary's once every morning are the prayers said.
    8. One round of Rosary beads.
    10. The water is drunk; it is not carried away.
    11. The water is used for nothing else; it won't boil.
    12. Nothing is left now; offerings used to be left long ago.
    13. Usually medals were the offering made.
    14. In the well, the offering were placed.
    15. Nothing except medals were left.
