Boat Making
We make boats from bulrushes.
We get a long bulrush and turn up about three inches of the thickest end and then we wind the remainder until it is used up.
A thorn is stuck in it to keep it from (braking) breaking.
It is is then the shape of a flat boat with a chimney in the middle and it floats on the water.
Donkey. To play this game of Donkey there must be a ball and four boys usually. One boy gets the ball and passes it to the second boy and if he misses it, it will be counted as "D" and so on until he misses it six times and got the letters D.o.n.k.e.y.
Then they call him Donkey.
