- On the twenty sixth of February 1903, there was a severe storm, sixteen trees were uprooted on the Foolah road and it took twenty loads of sand to fill each hole that was left after the trees were uprooted.
On the same night a hay shed at Cloghan Castle was blown across the wood. In the morning the people found it in one of the fields in Cloghan Beg.
In the year 1891 there was a severe frost. The Shannon and canal were frozen and the people used to go across the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
