Kitty's Bush

Kitty Donnelly had a little house beside this bush. She married a man named Fuery. She had two daughters. Their names were Biddy and Manny Fuery. Her husband died very young. My grandfather often thatched her little house. When young boys used to go ramble, they would swing out of the thatch to see would they be avle to pull any of it down after my Grandfather thatching it. They would not be able to take a straw out of it. Kitty used to go every Saturday to Birr to do her market business as that was the nearest market in them times. Kitty left her little house and with her two daughters went to America. Her sister paid their passages, and they were never heard of since.
