taking the cattle, any of the Irish the soldiers could lay hands on they would hang. Now Mary used to go and take the boots of the man that was hanged for her husband.
One evening three men came into Mary's house and a grid iron was put down and they roasted her alive on it. When it was found out what had happened to her, the three men were put in three iron chains on the top of the Hanging Hill and were left there until the birds of the air brought away their flesh.
The three chairs are supposed to be buried in the hill and anyone who will dig the hill and find them, will be drawn into them by magic and will get the same death as the three men.
