In Tullamore many people believe in signs which are supposed to foretell what kind of weather there is going to be the next day. If a person has a corn and it begins to pain him it is a sign of coming rain. If the sky is red in the evening it is a fine day. When soot falls down the chimney it is also a sign of rain. When the seagulls are flying high it is a sign of rain and if they fly low it is a sign of fine weather. When the spiders keep in their webs its going to rain and when they come out of them its going to be fine.
