Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There is a place called, "The Murdering Hole" near the graveyard in Ballyhogue. It appears that years ago there was a small town or village there and also a monastery.
    When the Danes invaded this country they robbed and burned all these places.
    The community fled and hid in this hole but they were discovered and murdered. That is how it got its name.
    Poulanass was also a village. A lot of people lived there about 100 years ago. There is a beautiful waterfall there. There is a small grass plot there where people used to dance every Sunday evening but there is not a house there now.
