- About two hundred years ago a fair was held each month in the townland of Moneyhore Enniscorthy.
There was a Public house in Moneyhore owned by Cloneys.
The fair began at seven o' clock in the morning and lasted until dinner time. After twelve o'clock all the men would fight with sticks and drink in the public house.
The drinking and the fighting would last all night.
The children would put stones in their stockings and fight. One day a big man was going up where the pigs were selling.
Seeing no fight he broke a shaft out of a car and began to fight. There was a mule who began kicking. He let go the shaft and began kicking the mule and beat him.- Bailitheoir
