a powerful clan in South Wexford.A pattern or sports festival,
which would last for a week or
a fortnight used to be held
in Rosegarland.
The best men from Wexford, and
the surrounding counties
used to compete.
On one of these occasions two
neighbouring men from Carlow,
one, going to the sports, and
the other returning, met on
the cross roads that we call
the Leap.
