    "one summer evening this ship sailed up for Wexford and it is said that the music that was being played on board the ship could heard on shore. Next morning she was found lying aground off the Coast of Ballyvalden,
    (2 miles South from here)
    and nothing was to be seen to tell the fate of her crew or passengers if she had any but a little log. This happened almost 160 years ago. She ran aground under what is now known as "The Welcome Bank' about 300 yds to Nih of Ballyvaldan Gap
