  1. "Fairy Forts"
    There are "Fairy Forts" in this district that I have heard about. One is called "Sunderlands Rath" in Kilcorral. The other is "Cloaks Moat" in Garrygibbon.
    They are not in view of each other , one is circular in shape and the other is square.
    There is a mound of earth around the moat , while a row of trees surround the "Rath".
    At the present time they are over grown with briars and it is not known where the entrance is.
    These were never disturbed by ploughing or planting by the farmers.
    There are many stories connected with these forts. A man named Kinsella was supposed to have seen the fairies playing a game near "Sunderlands Rath".
    It is said that a man was going to a well that had to lead him by a fort and he saw a light which led him astray. The light was seen from Kilcorral.
    There was a man and he had cows on a field and there was a "fairy fort" on the field , and every evening the people could
