- There is only one forge in use in the district at present and the name of the man who owns it is Mr Bennet.
His people have been smiths for many years and when they died the work was handed down to him.
The forge is situated at the side of a road called the " Old Coach Road" a little piece outside the village of Castlebridge.
The forge is a fair sized one with a slated roof it has a window and a door the door slides but it is no special shape and there is a horse shoe over it.
There are two fire places within but at present there is only one in use.
There is also a big bellows to blow the fire it is made of wood and leather with a long handle and it is said that the smiths make them, themselves.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
