  1. Cromwell landed in Wexford at Maudlintown which was at that time the entrance to Wexford. There was a man named Stafford who sold the town to Cromwell.
    Cromwell knocked down several churches in Wexford. He knocked down St Patrick's Church in St Patrick's Square. He knocked down another at Selskar Abbey. He knocked down others at Kilmacrea and Kildaven where the blood of the priest he killes is still to be seen under the arch of the Kildaven Church. He killed a lot of people in the Wexford market place, namely the Bull Ring. His soldiers got young Catholic children and put them on their bayonets. One of the children smiled down at Cromwell and he told his soldiers to stop quickly.
    He camped his soldiers at Mulgannon now called Cromwell's Fort. He used the Wexford Franciscan Church as a stable for his horses, He gave one of his officers the deeds of the place where the Wexford Laundry now stands.
    One day a poor woman was going up the Laundry Lane with a churn of butter-milk when she was met by the officer who got the deeds. He asked her what was in the churn. She told
