    There was a distillery owned by Mr Devereux on the "Distillery Road", Wexford.
    It is closed down 36 years and the premises are now in the possession of Pierce & Co. Very good whisky was distilled there.
    Clay Pipe Making
    There was a clay pipe factory owned by James Murphy in Wexford. It was situated behind a shop in the Main street called Flynn's which was owned by a brother of James Murphy at that time.
    At one time the clay pipe factory was the only one of its kind in Ireland. The pipes made there were famous all over the world. "Murphy's Pipes" they were called and they even went as far as America and Australia.
