This information was received from Miss Annie Keating.
There is a well in Knockmoran called St. John's well.
There is the ruins of an old church in the field where the well used to be.
It is said a man washed clothes in the well, and during the night the well moved into the next field, where it still remains.
The mark is still to seen where the well was at first.
The feast day is the 22th June and many people visit the well.
